Streamer self-focusing in an external longitudinal magnetic field

چکیده

The numerical simulation of the development a streamer discharge in gap with an external longitudinal magnetic field was used to demonstrate self-focusing such discharges. Self-focusing is caused by sharp deceleration radial ionization wave due change electron energy distribution function, decrease average energy, rate gas ionization, and mobility crossed electric fields as compared case without field. effect observed for both positive negative pulse polarities. paper proposes estimate critical value field, which makes it possible control pulsed high-voltage discharges at various pressures.
